Cheery Lynn Designs Vintage Challenge

Hello, and welcome to my take on CLD challenge. You can join over here,   Cheery Lynn blog

I die cut two (2nd largest) lg coved rectangeles; added Victorian Velvet distress ink. Next took some patterned papper and cut coordinating coved rectangle from lg coved rectangles silver. Cut out of white cs, (#4) lg coved rectangles and embossed it with timeless tulips embossing plate. Then cut out an oval from embossed cs and cut one from velum and wrote sentiment (higgins pen ink). Cut out some lace using dsp and the Anastasia border die, and distressed with crumb cake ink(SU) and crumpling up.

I stamped my Victoria dress image from ODBD in memento tuxedo black on Crafters Companion smooth white card stock. Colored with Spectrum Noirs, (lg3) (lg4) (lg5) (jg1) (jg5) (dg1). Fussy cutting around bottom of dress (cut off legs of dress form), cut out image with inverted scallop oval. Embellished with coordinating silver stitch dies. Distressed oval with crumb cake ink. Next I cut out a few mirror mirror doilies using various patterned papers.  One to matte the dress; cut one in half and matted around the other. Placed on inside of card.

Before adheiring card together I distressed coved rectangle pieces using distress tool.

Blessings,
Sarah

Gratitude!! (first blog post)

Hello to you, and thank you for visiting my little page in blogland. I have finally started and now able to check off one of my new years resolutions! haha I know it is little late for that and almost time to start thinking of the coming years goals. My hesitation to hold a blog was I didn't have the time to commit one to twice a week; owning a bar, four kids under the age of 6, house, husband, and try to find any time for myself was next to impossible. SO for my fist post I have a card for you!
I started with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base and cut my leaf edger on card front. next I embossed a die to the center of front and cut out various leaves and branches. I used my smallest circle dies to use as a layout for swag. I cut out my sunflower and flourishes behind it. glued some glass glitter to center of sunflower. stamped my sentiment and put the swag together, placed it slightly off center to expose embossed image. I then stamped an image around the corners. for the inside I cut out some designer paper and placed it on the bottom to give some contrast to card front. cut out a sunflower and added some leaves and branches and place in corner. Then I added the sentiment and stamped image above and below. Added an to oval to add own writing. Being this card cannot stand on it's own I added a piece to the back so it can stand on own. (I will have a tutorial on that next week)! I was inspired by SN 146- leaves and am putting this in the Cheery Lynn Design Challenge 157 -give thanks.
